English Bay Launch has assumed the role of the previous company Granville Island Water Taxi. In November 2009 . Mike Shannon ( Old School Marine – Richmond) have carried on where GIWT left off in late October 2009.
Your journey aboard our 12 passenger, Transport Canada certified, water taxi begins from Snug Cove on Bowen Island or Granville Island in Vancouver. Ride in fully enclosed comfort, protected from the weather or on the aft deck to enjoy the sea air.
No ferry line-ups – walk on, walk off and bikes are welcome.
Space is limited for each run so pre-booking is highly recommended.

English Bay Launch Ltd, founded on October 30, 2009, will be extending its acceptance of Granville Island Water Taxis tickets until November 30th. One month of free service.
Passengers who purchased tickets up to and including October 29th, from the now defunct business known as Grandville Island Water Taxi may ride for free on the English Bay Launch until November 30, 2009, with the presentation of their ticket. Re-sold tickets will not be accepted.
November 30th will be the final and conclusive cut off for this one month of free service.
Any claims on Granville Island Water Taxi Tickets past or before this point will have to be presented to the owners of Grandville Island Water Taxi.
We look forward to serving Bowen Island for all their Vancouver commuter needs.
